The Jordanian Income and Sales Tax Department has launched the Jordanian National Invoicing System as part of the country’s tax reform efforts. This system marks a significant step toward enhancing transparency in commercial and economic transactions by requiring all establishments and individuals who sell goods or provide services to issue electronic invoices. The National Invoicing System has contributed to improving the business environment, reducing human intervention, and expediting tax audit procedures.

Exempted Categories:
The National Invoicing System applies to all establishments and individuals subject to income tax, but certain small-scale categories are exempt, including:
Establishments with annual sales below JOD 75,000 (e.g., groceries, bakeries, bookstores).
Crafts with annual revenue below JOD 30,000.
Bakeries that only sell bread with revenue less than JOD 150,000.
Businesses with annual sales under JOD 75,000 such as:
Clothing and embroidery shops
Toy stores
Shoe stores
Roasteries and coffee/chocolate shops
Electrical supply stores (e.g., wires, outlets)
Drinking water purification and treatment shops
How to Register in the National Invoicing System:
Go to the official website of the Jordanian National Invoicing System.
Click on “New User?” at the bottom of the screen.
Fill in the “Username (Tax Number)” and company password fields, then click “Login,” or click on “New User?” and enter the tax number and follow the subsequent instructions.
Click on “National Invoicing” when the new screen appears.
Enter the code shown on the screen and click “National Invoicing System” at the bottom.
Enter the username and password and confirm the password.
Click “Create Account” at the bottom of the screen.

Integration with Mozon Systems:
The Jordanian National Invoicing System can be integrated with various Mozon systems such as the Mozon Financial Management System, ensuring seamless compliance and efficient operations.
Components of a Valid Invoice:
According to Article 5 of the Invoice Regulation Law, any seller of goods or services worth one Jordanian Dinar or more must issue at least two copies of an invoice containing the following details:
Invoice serial number
Full name and address of the seller
Seller’s tax number (if registered for sales tax) or national number (if not registered)
Date of issuance
Description, quantity, value of the goods or services sold, and the total invoice amount
